Led by none other than the Fairy Godmother herself, Jane Frisch, the Jackson Hole Poop Fairies have spent hours on the trails this year cleaning up dog poop to help the environment and keep our trails open to our furry friends. I met Jane on a warm winter day. She was wearing a tutu and wings with an orange vest picking up bags of dog poop along the South Dyke in Wilson, WY. Before I knew it, she had recruited me to become a Poop Fairy and within the hour, she had also recruited my Rugby team.

Please spread our message of Grab, bag, and toss one poop for every dog a person brings to the trail. It doesn’t matter whose poop! That way we can all go home guilt free knowing we’ve done our part in case we missed one of our pups leaving a gift. We try to encourage everyone to bring in any bags they see sitting by the trail as its owner may have walked by and forgotten to pick it up. It’s especially important in winter that the bags not be ground up during ski grooming. And thanks for cleaning up after those who’ve never received our message. We hope our job becomes less and less cleanup and more and more message. We’re definitely making progress, Jane, Founder of the JH Poop Fairies.

On Saturday, April 3th, 2021, The Lady Moose Jackson Hole Rugby Team came out to volunteer for a few hours cleaning up the Cache Creek Trail. “It’s all of you that are making the difference.

The Poop Fairies thank you. We’re all in this together! Jane emphasized how the beginning of Spring when the snow starts to melt is one of the most important times to come out and volunteer. “It is especially important in the spring thaw time of year when those gifts that have been missed due to frequent snowfall over the winter start to show up”, says Jane.

PAWS of Jackson Hole brought the JH Poop Fairies under their wing this year to gain greater visibility and support. This has been a huge success for both non-profits. PAWS creatively partnered with local comedian, Andrew Muntz, to create videos of Poop Fairies and more to raise money for their Tux and Paws Fundraiser this year. Enjoy videos from the Campaign! The Comedy Campaign was a huge success achieving their fundraising goal of $200,000. This also created a lot more awareness around the JH Poop Fairy Volunteer Program.

Thank you JH PAWS & Poop Fairies for keeping our environment clean & keeping our trails open to dogs!
